Kim Woodworth
Regional VP, Comcast Spotlight, Eastern Division
Kim Woodworth has been leading professionals for over 28 years. During those years, she has been involved in start ups, re-vamps, shut-downs, transitions and “business as usual” (whatever that means!).
Before joining Comcast, Kim built and managed several radio stations across the southern part of the United States. Her 14-year radio career began in Nashville, Tennessee and by the age of 27, she was General Manager of her first radio station in Mobile, Alabama.
Currently, Kim is Regional Vice President for Comcast Spotlight’s Eastern Division. Kim oversees the activities of five markets, and is also responsible for all New Products, Research, Training, and Marketing throughout the Eastern Division. Kim joined Comcast Spotlight in 1994. Prior to moving to Philadelphia in 2000, Kim was Vice President of the Comcast Southeast Ad Sales Region.
Kim authored, designed and implemented the first of its kind, year-long Comcast Spotlight “Women in Leadership” program for the Eastern Division; the participants/graduates are highly successful, career oriented female executives. The program is now a national program and in its 5th year.
Kim is an executive member of Women in Cable Television (WICT) and an alumnus of the prestigious Betsy Magness Leadership Institute. She actively supports WICT’s many programs and encourages her team members to do the same. She has served as a WICT mentor each year for the Philadelphia Chapter’s Mentorship program. Additionally, Kim serves on the Advisory Board of the Women’s Resource Center which helps over 4,000 Philadelphia area women and children in crisis every year. She is on the Board of the Special Olympics for the State of Pennsylvania and serves on the board of the YMCA, Brandywine Region.
In 2006, Kim received the prestigious “Liberty Award” from WICT and was named “One of the Top fifty Women to Watch in the Cable Industry.” In 2007 Kim was selected to participate in the “Harvard Executive Women Leadership Program” and shared this experience with other executive women from around the world.
Most recently, Kim had the honor of receiving the Comcast Herndon Achievement Award. This is a unique award for the Comcast Spotlight employee who embodies the qualities of passion, creativity, hard work and outstanding leadership.
Kim speaks to groups all across the country on such topics as “Leadership and Change,” “Creativity in the Workplace,” “How to Hire Right the First Time,” “Tra-Newtional Leadership”, “Embrace-Honor-Celebrate” and “I am a Grateful Woman”.
Kim is a writer and author of the 7 book children’s’ series “Today I Can”. She has also written “ i am a grateful woman” and group co-authored the book, “6 Essentials for Success in Business and Life”.
Kim and her husband Bill reside outside of Philadelphia in Exton, PA.
